I used Directors 3D capabilities to develop a real time 3D fly though of the solar system for ManyOne Networks. This existed within a framework that allowed more sophisticated navigation that this demo version shows.

Click here to view. Please note that this was designed to run in a custom (Mozilla) browser and would be pre installed on the users hard drive. It seems to work well under most browsers except Safari where there is a browser bug that locates the Shockwave content too high on the screen thereby breaking the navigational buttons.

Please also note that there were other features in this product that have had to be disabled in this portfolio version.

Notes for the user:

(1) The keyboard arrow keys may be used to navigate.
(2) Clicking on a planet engages an autopilot feature that zooms you directly to that planet and "docks" you.
(3) Flying directly into a planet will "dock" you. In the actual version, being docked will bring up a selection of information panels.
